The University of Chicago Center in Paris (the “Center”) is committed to safeguarding the privacy of personal information it collects about students, alumni, donors, visitors and other individuals that participate in activities offered through the Center (hereinafter “you”). This Privacy Notice describes our practices on the collection, processing, use, disclosure and storage of information about you. When you submit your information to us, use our websites or participate in our programs and services, your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Notice. Please note, however, that the University’s Study Abroad Office maintains a separate privacy notice for its programs offered through the Center (link) and the University’s Alumni Relations and Development Office privacy notice applies to alumni and donor-related privacy practices for the Center (link). CENTER USE AND PROCESSING OF INFORMATION
The Center will use information that you provide to us and information we collect about you to administer programs offered through the Center, promote, host and deliver Center events, and support the Center’s day-to-day operations. In addition, the Center may process your information in furtherance of other legitimate interests, such as (i) to analyze and improve our programs, (ii) for outreach efforts, (iii) to conduct general research, (iv) to fulfill other University of Chicago and/or Center responsibilities or purposes or (v) to provide services to you. If we seek to use or process your information for a purpose not outlined in this Privacy Notice, we will request your prior consent as appropriate.
