The University of Chicago John W. Boyer Center in Paris, designed by international architecture and urban design practice Studio Gang, is located in the heart of Paris's 13ème arrondissement, a thriving ecosystem of universities and a stone's throw from the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Built atop a compact site that spans an active railway, the Center is part of a large redevelopment of the site which was led by ICADE Promotion and also includes a mixed-use residential building designed by PARC Architectes.
“The Center in Paris is designed as a vertical campus with a multilevel atrium that provides all the spaces with light and offers visual connections across programs,” said Jeanne Gang, Founding Partner of Studio Gang. “We wanted the building to amplify social interactions, scholarly collaborations and cultural exchange between the University and the City of Paris.”
