The Languages of Transnational (Post-)Queerness

The Languages of Transnational (Post-)Queerness
International Conference organized by
Chantal Zabus (TTN-USPN) and Josiane Ranguin (TTN-USPN).
Thursday 12 May 2022

Using a transnational and postcolonial approach, the Conference aims to trace a post-identitarian move away from identity politics and intersectionality through the exploration of the lexical, literary, and artistic strategies used by members of the LGBTQ2IA+ (Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender-Queer-Two-Spirit-Intersex-Asexual-Plus) spectrum of sexual and gender dissidence, with an emphasis on “queer,” “postqueer,” “transgender” and “asexual” in early twenty-first-century non-Western (i.e. Maghrebian, Sub-Saharan African, Caribbean) and diasporic contexts.
