at the University of Chicago, Center in Paris, 6 rue Thomas Mann, Paris 13ème
Join us for a concert by Bridge #11, a franco-Chicago ensemble that features Daunik Lazro (saxophone), Joe McPhee (saxophone), Joshua Abrams (bass), Guillaume Séguron (bass), and Chad Taylor (percussion). The performance will be followed by a roundtable discussion with the musicians, moderated by Alexandre Pierrepont (Anthropologist and Executive Director of the Bridge), and a cocktail reception.
The Bridge is a network that promotes deep exchange between Chicago and French jazz communities by bringing various combinations of creative musicians from both countries together to perform, record, and tour. A special collaborative arrangement between the Bridge and the University of Chicago brings performances like these to University of Chicago campuses on a regular basis—twice a year in Paris, twice a year in Chicago.
